Do I have to be sober to join?

No. Many guests are sober-curious or simply taking a break. The only rule is that all trips are completely alcohol- and drug-free to create a safe, supportive group environment.

What’s included in a Capsule Adventure trip?

Trips are all-inclusive once you arrive—covering lodging, meals, activities, guides, and local transfers. The only things not included are international flights, visas, and optional tips.

How big are the groups?

Group sizes typically range from 8 to 16 travelers depending on the destination. This keeps the experience personal while allowing for connection and community.

Do I have to be sober?

Nope. You don’t need to be sober, but you do need to be cool with a sober adventure of a lifetime. No alcohol and no drugs (not even a sneaky edible).

Who joins a Capsule adventure?

People who are tired of surface-level experiences. Folks who crave connection, adventure, and meaning without wanting to be drunk on vacation. Do I need to be fit?

This ain’t no recovery cruise! A Capsule Adventure is an active trip. Think hiking, a few long days, maybe some scrambling, and definitely getting your boots dirty. You don’t need to be an athlete, but if you get winded walking up stairs… maybe hit a few hikes before you book.

What's included in the cost?

Everything once you land: accommodations, most meals, ground transport, guides, and activities. What’s not included: your flight, travel insurance, souvenirs, and that latte you swore you weren’t addicted to.

Who Leads the trip?

Each adventure is led by a trip leader/sober travel companion, who oversees all logistics and is available to answer any questions or concerns. They will be with the group for the duration of the adventure.

While the trips are structured to maximize adventure and presence, you’ll still get solo moments to read, journal, nap, or just stare into a mountain range like you're in a Patagonia ad.

Why do you require a call before joining?

We require a short call before sign-up because we’re obsessive (in a good way) about group vibe. Capsule Adventures isn’t just about where we go, but who you share it with. The call makes sure expectations line up so your trip is unforgettable for all the right reasons.

Do I need travel insurance?

Yes, we highly recommend getting travel insurance. Once you’re registered for a trip, we can recommend a few vendors that offer easily accessible, affordable plans.
